The highways that connects Abu Dhabi with Dubai had a little bit of a fender bender this morning.  Looks like an accident involving 200 cars including 25 cars that caught fire and six buses were involved.  Hundreds were injured and so far 6 people have passed away.  It seems that the fog is to blame.  Well hopefully everyone is alright and I am sure that most of them can afford to get a new car anyway’s seeing as how 1 out of 3 Bugatti’s are being sent to Dubai!

So if you forget that this is for a snowboarding magazine this is pretty amazing.  Looks like they got a rally racer to go with them in a snowboard park and have some fun along side with them.  Pretty amazing stuff!  I guess they broke the record for the longest jump in a car on snow while doing this shot.  The official information is on the 0-60 website but check out the video below!  I love rally racing if only it would become bigger in the US!

A great video of the new A4 I think I am in love…going to be a rough decision between this and the A5!

Alright this one I had to report on because the pictures speak 1000 words.  One of my car blogs posted this one with the nice little picture you see to your left as the introduction, lets say the rest of the photos are not as nice.  You can click the picture to go to the blog and check out the full spread.

So this is what happens when you hit a fox at 143 mph with a nice German car.  I could not imagine what that sounded like or being the person who has to clean up the car afterwards.

Alpine has come out with a new lineup for 2008 that adds some very nice features to your car stereo.  It adds iPod compatibility, Bluetooth compatibility, USB connectivity.  Click the image to see the product catalog.  Now if they could only make the features standard on stock stereos I would be set!

So for those of you who have tried to install aftermarket lights on your car you know what a pain they can be to get in place and wired correctly.  This company has come up with a great idea.  These HID add-ons clip to the back of your rear view mirror and plug into your cigarette lighter.  They are wirelessly linked to your headlights and can sense when other cars are coming so they know when to auto-dim.  A great idea but begs the question of where the wireless relay goes to connect to you bright lights.  Also sad to see that I cannot blind someone with them intentionally. 

Yes finally I have found a use for the cigarette lighter in my car.  At an estimated frugal $14.99 this item won Best New Interior Accessory prize at SEMA 2007.  You can never have too many flashlights in your car, I have one of those crank LED flashlights in my car so its always ready to use.  According to the web page a 3 hour change gives you 1 hour of light.  I like this idea because cigarette lights really serve no purpose in cars other than a power outlet.  Seriously who smokes any more??

This article is a nice wrap up of the new features of the new A4.  Looks like they managed to stretch the wheelbase about 6 inches and added a total length of about 4.5 inches.  They made the backseat something you might actually want to sit in!  They added about 2 inches of knee space for the back seats.  Of course it has the new B8 body style and they are saying it is a great mix of the A5 and the A6.  They have also added a selectable suspension on the fully packaged version.  I still have my eye on the A5 but nice to see some of these updates come to the A4.

Looks like they posted the colors both inside and outside of the new A5.  Yes please I will take 2! Still a fan of the silver/gray outside with the black interior.  Found this feed thanks to Google’s new feed discovery
